General Notes for Contributors
The audience for this journal is people living in Hong Kong (but not only Chinese people). This journal is intended for people who regard Hong Kong as their home. This includes non-Chinese people who have lived here for some years as well as Chinese people who have returned from overseas or who have always lived here. It can be assumed that readers will know about the Hong Kong way of life and will understand the local expressions which are part of Hong Kong English. However, it should not be assumed that readers will be able to read Chinese characters.

Please Note:
This journal is designed as a forum for discussing the improvement of life in Hong Kong. Articles should be under 800 words and must offer reasoned explanations of perceived problems and/or make constructive suggestions for improvements. This journal will not consider articles which: offer generalised complaints without constructive suggestions; make unsubstantiated or offensive attacks on individuals or institutions; or suggest general remedies like “the government should do something”.

Contributors should adhere to the format displayed in the most recent volume of the journal. All referencing in this journal now conforms to the CSE C-S referencing style and only this style should be used for all future submissions.
