To help you improve your English over the summer, CAES offers the following:

June 10 – 28, 2019 (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 2pm – 5pm)
30-minute one-to-one English Support consultation sessions with a CAES teacher for the purpose of speaking practice or thesis / dissertation writing support.

In the half-hour one-to-one session, you can use it as an opportunity to:

  • practice speaking with a CAES teacher, who will provide feedback on your speaking and suggest ways of improvement; or
  • receive thesis / dissertation writing support from a CAES teacher (Note: You must bring along a short sample of your writing so that the teacher can diagnose weaknesses and advise you on ways of improvement. However, the teacher will not proofread written work for you.)

Places are open to both undergraduates and postgraduates studying in HKU and are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Postgraduates who need thesis / dissertation writing support are highly recommended to sign up for the consultations.
