Notes for Contributors

Anyone who considers themselves a ‘local expert’ is encouraged to write for this journal.

Please bear in mind that the readership is international and from a wide variety of racial, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. It can be assumed that readers are able to use English as an international language but local expressions and use of non-English words should be avoided. It must be assumed that readers have no familiarity with Hong Kong or its customs, language, food and people.

Special Theme of Volume 9 (Spring 2012):
The upcoming issue of this journal will focus on Hong Kong as a gateway to China. Articles should focus on those aspects of Hong Kong that can help visitors better understand and appreciate Chinese culture.

Additional Comments:
This journal aims to publish articles of between 500 and 800 words which are informative and attractive. Articles should combine clear descriptions or explanations with colourful images and they should be non-offensive. While interested in articles about typical tourist attractions, this journal also invites articles which would give tourists clear insights into the Hong Kong lifestyle.
